It's not a book, per se, it's a set of rules for a fantasy role-playing game based on the Elric stories by Michael Moorcock.

It is the 4th edition of the original game which came out in Years ago, as a teenager, I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy, and Moorcock's "Eternal Champion" books were well-received by me and my peers/5(5). This edition of Michael Moorcock's everchanging Elric saga I am reviewing is the hardback version published by Millennium/Orion in It is part of a series of hardbacks (14 in all) which cover the majority (but not all) of the Eternal Champion's incarnations/rebirths across the multiverse/5(38).

I first read this story in late ,my mum had borrowed it from the library and there was something about the title that really grabbed my attention.I read it and was completely drawn into the amazing world of Michael Moorcocks incredible imagination,i bought every fantasy book he wrote and loved them all but Lord Elric!,well, what a character and how well defined was he,not the usual run of /5(28).

With Stormbringer, Michael Moorcock brings a superior fantasy series to a to formally effective and emotionally satisfying conclusion.

I love the Elric series, and sometimes wonder if I rate the books too highly. After all, the prose, ranging from workmanlike to vigorous, is often evocative but rarely poetic, and the tales themselves run to cliche, with too many love-besotted sorcerers, too /5.

Stormbringer is a fine, vivid read and it works, in spite of its origins almost. It is a significant book because it was Moorcock's first full-length novel and it contains most of the obsessions which he develops both through his Eternal Champion series and his mainstream literary novels like King of the City.5/5(5).

The Best of Michael Moorcock is a collection of the legendary author's best short fiction, containing several of his classic stories, as well as one previously unreleased story.

The collection, lovingly edited by John Davey with Jeff and Ann VanderMeer, is nothing short of excellent/5. Michael Moorcock is an award winning English writer of fantasy and science fiction books but has also published literary novels.

He was born in London, and the area of London particularly Ladbroke Grove and Notting Hill Gate is a vital inspiration in some of his fiction books.

Michael Moorcock became a published novelist in with the novel The Stealer of Souls. He tends to revise much of his work, meaning that readers should always look for the latest editions of his work. The Ruby Throne and Stormbringer are still a faithful retelling of Elric of Melnibone, but the tweaks they bring to the story are both epic and exciting.

The original author, Michael Moorcock, himself said that the new ideas presented here were improvements on his original concept (high praise, indeed.)/5(51). Stormbringer is the 2nd volume graphic novel adaptation of Elric book series written by Michael Moorcock. Since Elric were published inyou can say that Michael himself is one of the first few people who created the genre Dark Fantasy or maybe even the pioneer/5.

Stormbringer, by Michael Moorcock Book Review by S C Bryce. Have you read this book. "Stormbringer" is the final (and longest) installment of Michael Moorcock's classic saga.

Although broken into sections, "Stormbringer" reads much more like a novel than the other books because the serials are far more tightly connected.
